GENERA also surfaced the sector's recurring questions. Among them:

One shared reflection stood out in the discussion: Spain has the technology and innovation capacity, but there's a differentiating factor set to take center stage, a service, operations, and technical support ecosystem already prepared to support projects throughout their expected 15–20 year lifespan. That means staying close to the client today, tomorrow, and two decades from now.

  1. Foro Solar — UNEF Session

We examined the technological leap the sector is undergoing, and how innovation in power electronics, thermal management, and control software is redefining safe, profitable BESS operation. The message was shared: innovation must go hand in hand with operational expertise. Every technology has particularities that affect lifespan, safety, and revenue-generating capacity and integrating the technology provider's operating experience is essential to maximizing the return on assets designed to last 15–20 years.

We also addressed the application of the EU Battery Regulation (EU 2023/1542), now in force for all batteries on the market, which guarantees standards of safety, sustainability, and traceability. A framework that, beyond bringing order to the sector, provides the confidence needed to deploy storage at scale.
