In this project, BeePlanet deployed a 916 kWh BESS system equipped with our advanced EMS (BHive®) at the Piher Sensing Systems high-precision sensor manufacturing plant. The goal: transforming energy into a strategic production asset.
In the high-precision electronics industry, energy is more than an overhead cost—it is a critical input for the production process. The facility faced three major challenges::

The objective was not just to cut costs, but to protect critical processes and turn energy into a business edge.
The response to these challenges was a BESS system designed, integrated, and operated by BeePlanet, featuring Sungrow PowerStack ST229 hardware—the global benchmark for the C&I (Commercial and Industrial) segment.
The partnership between BeePlanet and Sungrow offers the best of both worlds: the robustness of a Tier-1 storage manufacturer combined with the operational intelligence and on-the-ground expertise of BeePlanet in the European industrial market.

This is not a generic EMS; it is a proprietary solution developed by BeePlanet based on experience from over 170 industrial projects.
Peak Shaving: By identifying and clipping demand spikes, the system reduces power capacity charges. The impact is immediate and measurable in every billing cycle.
Maximizing PV Self-Consumption: Solar energy produced but not immediately needed is stored and released during periods of high internal demand. Storage decouples generation from consumption, reducing grid dependency.
Resilience and Process Continuity: With 916 kWh at its disposal, the plant has an energy buffer that ensures the continuity of critical processes against supply contingencies.
Measurable Decarbonization: Every kWh of renewable energy stored and consumed internally reduces the facility’s carbon footprint, contributing directly to ESG and sustainability goals.
