The Challenge

Off-peak Storage and Loading in a Concrete Plant

Since 2023, BeePlanet Factory has partnered with Sirea to promote energy storage in France. We provide our experience in engineering and technological development to ensure efficient and safe management. In this case, our BMS (Battery Management System) technology allows a seamless integration of the robust batteries in Sirea's solutions, ensuring optimal performance and extended system life.

One of our most recent projects was developed in a concrete production plant in France, with an annual solar production of 199 MWh, which faced significant energy challenges:

  • Use of solar surplus: Maximize the use of solar energy generated to reduce dependence on the electrical grid.
  • Optimization of electricity consumption: Minimize the impact of energy rates by charging batteries during off-peak hours and discharging them at peak times.
  • Efficient supply management: Avoid peaks in demand and reduce additional costs derived from irregular consumption.

The solution

We implemented an energy storage system with:

  • Storage capacity: 240 kWh (192 kWh usable)
  • Installed power: 120 kW

Results Achieved

📌Significant energy savings

  • Direct self-consumption: 95 MWh
  • Stored energy: 52 MWh

📌Positive economic impact

  • Investment Initial (CAPEX): €195,000
  • Annual electricity bill savings: €28,000
  • Return on investment (ROI): 7 years
